Why google or yahoo ban websites in their search engines?

I saw a site being put for sale in sites (trade) forum and it has been banned from google and yahoo.

I wonder why websites are banned by google and yahoo and once they are banned any chance to get back into those search engines after sometime.

because they need to skip some of them this process is an automation process based on the index no and more searcher ratings

Could be a bunch of different things. The site could have a bunch of irrelevant backlinks, a mirror of another site, etc.

There are a lot of reasons as said above.
May be they are involved in some black hat seo or has been reported by some other webmasters.

If any of you guys are gamers.. well you might know that megagames.com was blacklisted by google few months ago because supreme amount of ads and also warned that it could be bad for your computer..

In my experience websites are banned because they are potientally harmful to the viewers PC. That is just 1 of hundreds of reasons.

There are a lot of reasons as they need to skip some of them this process is an automation or they may have irrelevant backlinks, I think these are the only possible reasons.

they might have gone against some their policies ... u know there are a lot of restrictions nowadays specially by google ...
