Hey,
Microsoft has made an unsolicited $44.6 billion bid for Yahoo.

Do you think they will?

Is that the estimated value of Yahoo? I wonder what Microsoft has in mind for buying out Yahoo. To compete with Google head on? It has its MSN.

Personally, I hope they don't. Don't get me wrong. Yahoo and Microsoft are both great companies but I don't really think the merger would be that great. The main concern I have is that if Microsoft does purchase yahoo will they be able to take it to the next level? If you ask me no they cannot because yahoo is miles better than Live search. If they did the vice versa and improved msn live search to the level of yahoo search then the merger would make sense and they would probably have a chance at competing against the "SUPERIOR" google.

Nothing is impossible. Microsoft want to take over Yahoo, but I don't think this is Yahoo strategy. I feel Google's offer is much more interesting.
