Default Useful Method to prevent phishing of your email

Hello people,

Use the following method of giving an email to someone over the forums or any public site.
Instead of using
iamstupid@scammed.com

you can use
iamstupid[at]scammed[dot]com

This prevent automated software to take your email to use it for spam

Thanx and regards,

~KMKM

yes i feel that is the best thing that someone can do. Sometimes people dont get that they have to take away the [at] and [dot] so putting the complete email is sometimes necessary.

This method is still dangerous because a script can be generated easily to catch such thing. How about making a little jpg file of your email and post it at forums whenever needed. You can even remove it from your server after the work is finished.

Why you just do not give your email address through Pms.It is more secure this way and there is only few risks.

I agree with toukmaria that the best way to deal with this is not to give your emails on forums or on website but through PMs.

PM is the best way, but if for some reason you don't want to do that, I would suggest the [at] method and also maybe something like extra spaces.

Exclamation What is Phising .........!!!!

Phishing utilizes spam email or pop-up messages to deceive you into disclosing various pieces of your personal information. You may be asked to disclose credit card numbers, bank account information, social security number(s), account numbers, passwords, or other confidential information.

Also do not copy+paste your password at any site because there is always a possibility of retrieving anything that has been pasted. Always type it.

Thats a good way to prevent spam but there is an other way to prevent it.You can take temporary e-mails and protect yourself against all spam mails.
