Default Sometimes They're Stupid

I get a lot of spoofed emails - some of them make sense, like the eBay, Paypal, Lloyds TSB banking ones.

But why is my .co.uk email address getting spam for the American Fifth Third Bank? Why is my brazilian email address I got from work getting spam for the Royal Bank of Scotland?

Sometimes I admire the work phishers go to, but shouldn't they at least do some checking on the spam email lists they get? :-p

These people dont look at .com or .co.uk .... My sister living in India has an ID ending with .co.uk so the phishers never take a chance and just email to everyone in their database

These have lists of 1000000s of emails. They enter the text and send mails through mail bombers. Why would they check if an email address is of .co.uk or whatsoever? They just need the owners to be scammed, thats all they need from us!

what these phishers count on is that there are many people on the net who are not as savvy as you are and will ignore (or jus be ignorant to) the difference in the ".____"

just ignore spam, once one spammer has your email, just assume many more has it too lol, block their email addresses via your mail provider

spam is unfortunately a way of the world now so we just need to get over it and push it aside like throwing away all the junk mail you get in your snail mailbox. report it when you get a chance.

Hehe, it's not really stupidity. I think it's an automated program that sends emails and not really a certain person.
