can u suggest some ways to prevent IP spoofing

It is quite a hassle for website administrators/owners when their site is being spoofed. It weakens traffic correlations and it allows different attacks on your site. It would be a big help if you add up some filtering means on your script, just look it up on the net for some more tips on such.

IP spoofing is used by people for DoS attack on websites and it can be prevented by using packet filtering. There are other methods too but this one is the most popular.

Here are some Services vulnerable to IP Spoofing:

RPC(Remote Procedure Call services)
Any service that uses IP address authentication
The X Window system
The R services suite

Measures To Prevent Spoofing :
Avoid using the source address authentication. Implement cryptographic authentication systemwide.
Configuring your network to reject packets from the Net that claim to originate from a local address. This is most commonly done with a router.
If you allow outside connections from trusted hosts, enable encryption sessions at the router.
