Default How to go for safe email marketing?

i jus ran an email marketing campaign for one of the products on my website and lo behold 85% of the emails were bounced back.. can anyone help me out with this? i guess they are all spammed or the database got screwed up?

Email marketing is most of the times considered spam. From where did you get the email lists? If the users haven't opted to receive your emails then you are surely spamming them.

There are not many options left for safe email marketing. The only option I can think is the newsletter. Its legal to send legal newsletters some email because they have opted for that.

I do not believe that email marketing work nowadays because there have been too much spam.
Asmi is right permission marketing works best and you should clearly state that "You are receiving this email because you registered at..."on your mails.

Many of the email ids nowadays are either blank or fake. They are generated by automated programs and by all means look like real ids prima facie.
