Now a days, people would add you on MSN or Yahoo Messenger claiming to be a famous person of forums with thousands of posts and reputation but in real they are fake person. They might ask you for currency exchange etc. You should ask them to send you PM via forum to prove identities,

Famous person? You mean a veteran on a forum?
Currency? Why would they ask you for this? Why would you even consider giving it to them?

Kind of a red flag, no?

How do these people get access to other's email ids. And generally we do not add stranger into our messenger system

If I put my email address anywhere on the net, it's accessible to anyone on the net.

A lot of people use programs that pull email addresses from forums and actual websites.

They look for stuff like @gmail.com and then copy it.

I'd agree.

Most people just copy programs and claim it for their selfs and sell it for a lot of money.

I thought this topic was on the fake id like I had in college. I got busted the first time I tried to use it. No fun for me.
