There will definitely be some set backs for the approval ratings of Vista to rise as it is a new OS. There will definitely be more bugs to fix and windows will be releasing more updates in the near future. I will definitely wait another year to buy the product.

I truly don't believe that Windows Vista will achieve the level of success that Microsofts hopes for in the OS. quite frankly people are still content with XP (it is the best OS Microsoft has put out to date) and there are no real steller new features in Vista that draw the majority of casual users to it. also with Linux becoming more user friendly (and free!!!) and Apple gaining more market share by the day, Microsoft is going to have to realize they can no longer keep themselves in cruise control in order to maintain there current monopoly....

LIke all Windows OS, Vista will stand out for something better. but it will take a lot of time for people to migrate from using Windowz XP

I only hope that it will be more secure than the previous version of windows and has a more secure version of IE.
Only time will tell...

I wanted to get vista mainly because of halo 2 being released with it, but now I have seen that vista is well overpriced and all the features are pointless

I feel that perhaps Vista will be more secure than other previous version of windows but I think that it uses too much resources.
Microsoft is eating up all the resources produced by Intel...

I have faith on Microsoft. I think they would do anything to achieve the goals they set for Vista. The not so good comment I have for them is the high system requirements set for Vista. I believe that Vista is one of the most ambitious Operating System ever created.

I believe that XP is quite satisfying. I do have Vista to install and have not done so. I am still having my go in the learning curve of XP and it is frightening to me to think of learning a new way to do things. There are things I did in Windows 3.1 that I am still having a hard time figuring out how to do in XP. I think the world is welcoming Vista, but I don't know that we needed it so soon, also, I'm not ready for it, but it is nice to know that my new computer has it ready for an upgrade when I decide to try it out.

I agree with Bad Credit here. People are quite content with XP and wont pay for another OS. Also the security problems are big enough for Vista.

People have faith in third party antivirus solutions and vista prevents their usage, so I think this might also affect its sales.
