Yes thats a really very very old trick for people who want to scam you with some useless information.Dont click these types of ads.

And don't we love all the bouncing and flashing banners that still appear on many websites! Don't the unwashed webmasters understand that all these banners really say is, "GO AWAY OR WE WILL CONTINUE TO ANNOY YOU WHILE YOU TRY TO READ ANYTHING ELSE."

Yes, sometimes it is possible to adjust the size of the browser to block these screaming demons but what is needed is a 'filter' we can use here, too! Perhaps scanning the web contents ahead of time for words as 'winner' and block the display ...we have to enact server side tricks but someday ...yet so unfair to the advertiser!

When i was a kid, all i had heard about internet was it was a money making machine.I used to think that,if i just go to internet and use it, i will become rich, I was kinda dumb. The first website i visited was one of these 99999th you are the lucky one websites, where it said, i have won something. I was so happy, i told everyone i was rich. lol.

I've noticed with CPXinteractive they have these types of banners and they often show up on my sites which really sucks because I can stop them as much as I would like to be able to..

Everyone on the net is looking for some kind of way to earn money. Those ads are one of the ways. Website owners place them on their sites hoping to persuade their visitors to click on it as it most likely pays on some kind of ppc basis, whether it be CPX Interactive or anything else. I would suggest everyone to just install good spyware/virus blockers, so even if they do encounter these and click by accident they won't be affected.
