people have to be careful when they put in their pin, number one responsibility, because if they have your pin, they dont really need your card, they can login from the internet if they just know your card number

You can find an ATM in any mall in my country so I usually transact there. I think that is a good security measure, but I think the cops will be arriving too late if you do get forced to withdraw money. The thief will be long gone by the time they arrive.

Has anyone ever heard of getting your pin lifted through automated or mechanical means? I'm probably being real paranoid but some of the tech I see in movies freaks me out a little.

No I haven't heard of your pin being lifter through any means. I think that some people aren't careful enough when they are making withdrawals and others can see as they put in their pin number. And regarding the topic, I think that type of security can help out a little bit but the criminals might already be gone by the time the cops arrive.

The reversal pin does not work many a time.so it is better that you stay safe while using ATM.

Well, since they are using the duress code for alarms, why don't they extend this to ATMs as well?
Personally, I think it would be a very good form of security to introduce.

There is no such system in our country. It looks real good and fool proof one. I will send an article to concerned authorities to request the implementation of this system. Thanks for suggestion.

In my country there is not a lot trouble with ATM.The bad thing is that there are a lot of old persons who cannot remember their PIN and write it on the card itself and when it is lost...

people standing by me is not what im worried about, you can buy cc readers and writers right here on the old info-super-highway. I seen one that fit over the ATM slot and read cards on the way in. same site sold blank cards.

I don't use ATMs unless I absolutely have to. It's just not something I want to take a chance on.
