Of course. I think we all want to participate within the forum's rules. Sorry if I was being too provocative.

provocative is good We just want people to feel that they can express their opinions. Certainly slander is not allowed but we want a free exchange of ideas. Enjoy the forum!

Default Buyers beware of Paily

I placed an order with Sidewinder Computers. Then Paily asked me for more email addresses. I provided some, but Paily was apparently not satisfied and Sidewinder cancelled my order without providing any reasons.
Looks like their authentication method is nothing more than making sure you are registered on a valid IP domain.
My solution was to register with PayPal using their simple, and trusted methods.
Paily may not be a scam, but they certainly don't care about the Buyer.
They are not prepared to provide any support to the Buyer.

Yes, Paily money transfer service has surely discontinued. Does it mean that it was "bad news"? No, it isn't. And you are not the one to decide "bad news" or "good news". I mean, who the heck are you? Internet fraud analyst? According to their website, the main problem with Paily was people leaving the site in order to pay. That's why this text is bold: "Your customers never leave your site." Use your brain for a change, Mr. Internet Fraud Analyst.

Do the "simple, trusted methods" include waiting until the end of the month so you could get some random charge in the credit card statement?

No, the PayPal registration was completed in less than an hour.
Basically they:

a) verified my email address.
b) verified my Visa account by putting through a "dummy" charge (which I viewed online). This charge is later reversed when the first transaction goes through.

As mentioned this process is really quick and not easily subject to "false negatives".

Hello All,

Maybe this will clear the air on this debate. The reason I found this site is because our business currently uses Paily as a third party credit card verification for high risk transactions. We primarily used them for international orders. Although the service is not cheap, they do protect us from chargebacks. Basically, any transaction that they verify for us, they are responsible for any chargebacks. I googled them today because they were recently purchased by Paypal and Paypal will no longer be offering the services that we use Paily for. With all that being said, can anyone refer me to another company that offers this service? We really need a third party verification company to help process our international and high risk credit card orders. My only complaint with Paily as a customer is that now that they will no longer be offering the services we need, they won't tell us who their competition was so we can find another company to handle this.

I'm curious about how much paily formerly cost. I heard it was 5% a transaction. I too am looking for a fraud service. I saw these guys at an internet retailer show in Chicago.

Kount

Their technology looks to be a lot better than anything out there
