Default Next to paypal

What payment processor can be next to paypal? Considering the features, security and availability, which can be considered as the most promising payment processor?

Before I thought stormpay will become a great one.

I would say eGold. A lot of users have either PayPal or eGold, if not that then it's Escrow.

While egold may certainly be very well known, they don't even have a fraction of the transaction volume or reserves as paypal - e-gold Examiner

On the flip side, while I don't' have the raw numbers, I believe it's:

1 - PayPal
2 - Neteller
3 - CCBill
4 - 2Checkout
5 - Clickbank

This of course is in terms of third party billers.

But ultimately paypal accounts for all the others combined in transaction volume.

With all the comments and my own personal experience, I think e-gold is second to paypal. I am also considering Google checkout, but it seems that they have not taken off in that market just yet.

well you said next to paypal, i believe egold is next to paypal, since i see more people do transactions with this than the other ones, besides paypal of course.

I would say Moneybookers comes next to the paypal . However , paypal is still the leader but if not paypal then it has to be moneybookers for me . As for e-gold , it doesnt offer buyer protection so I dont prefer e-gold .

Well, I definitely won't go with stormpay, because they are not very honest in their dealings.
I would have gone for moneybookers previously.
However, I would probably say google checkout would be the payment processor with the most potential for growth right now, given that they have strong backing from google.

I've noticed a lot of people using eGold of late, but personally I prefer to stick with just paypal - it's annoying enough having to wait for money to transfer from paypal to my bank, let alone having another 'wallet' to deal with.
