I find numerous people requesting for the renting out signature links for their website links. I am confused that what good purpose do these links serve?
Well, if the person has a ton of posts, then they get a bunch of links to their sites. Hopefully some people will click on the link, and get you some traffic. It might help pr a little too.
Yup signature links are good way to market a site. When we are replying in forums, if we have written something nice or informative, people want to know more and they tend to click on the signature links.This is a free marketing, it kinda works.
You get the backlinks for the time being and if you do it while an update is happening, you get the backlinks till the next update.
It's also good for exposure.
If you are an avid forum poster, you can also sell your link. There are always people looking for this because it gives them a link to their website everytime you post. The more someone posts, the more they can charge for that space.
But i wonder whether these signature links pass the google search results and are they do-follow links, then only there will be at least some gain from buying signature links, i wonder about this?!
Signature Links are definitely helpful. It ultimately depends on how active the user is. If the user is in a forum where most of the users are close to another, you will most likely find that others will click that link because they are "intrigued". Moreover, tons of people see them as it is a forum.
