Default Don't trust friends!!!!

No matter how close you think you are to a friend..do not let them have access to your private information.

One time I had my friend make a copy of my driver's license, only to find out that she had saved it to her computer. I didn't find out about it until a few company's started calling me months later that my account was past due. When I figured out what was going on I went to the Post Office and did a change of address form , with my name from her address to mine.

That ***** had bought a $5,000 dollar HP printer, had five cell phones in my name and accounts set up to buy paper and ink for "my" printer.

Needless to say, that has been one of hardest things to overcome..try explaining that one to bill collectors. It was bad enough having to turn her in to the police for fraud.

She has since moved and has a website for pet grooming..I keep constant tabs on her but it doesn't do me any good. You can get a judgement but that doesn't mean that they are going to pay you. UGH!

Some people are so trusting even to the point of giving their house keys to their friends. I don't know about you guys, but I can only trust my friends; no matter how long we have known each other, to walking my dog only.

You can trust your friends in other terms maybe. You can trust them to take care of your car or trust them to have your back in troubled times, but don't trust them enough to give out your personal information. That will just be a temptation for them.

I agree with you that we should not give our personal detail to them. This could become a temptation for them and you could be in for big trouble.
Better let your private information stay private.

I agree with you guys. You can trust your friends in other matters but never trust them when it comes to financial matters. Some people are scammed by their own friends only. Money is not that easy to earn these days, and people can do ridiculous things just to get some.

It depends on the degree of friendship. There are friends who are much more trustworthy than anyone else you know. There are friends who are waiting for you to turn around so that they can cheat you. So I do not agree that friends are not to be trusted. At times they can be trusted more than your closest relatives. There are hundreds of examples to prove my point. Don't judge your entire friends by a single bad experience. Think of what all help you have received from your various friends.

I would never let anyone else know my personal information unless its a close family member. Even if its a close friend who ive known for years that could still cheat you for a quick buck then lie about it later.
