I am using Vista at the moment and I hate Windows Defender, and the new version of IE with a passion.

I think that they nanny users far too much, and they get in the way of day to day stuff.

I'm worried that people who have a little knowledge, but not enough yet, will figure out how to turn the protection off, and just cause themselves more problems.

If the new features didn't get in the way so much it would be a lot better.

I think that Vista still has more updates for it to be popular with most masses. But still, it is a big plus having a built-in security resource; although others may still find it pesky at times.

That will be the case for Vista I think. Just like what happened the first time Microsoft XP was released, there were a lot of problems and errors in the system and all of those errors wasn't fix until the release of service pack 2.

I think that is best if everyone just sticks with XP till new service pack comes out with more features and fixes to the ones that it has. I thought ti all would have been fixed after the long beta testing.. apparently not.
