Default Using a debit card online

Is it safe to use a debit card online? I've heard that credit cards provide better protection, but I was looking at Mastercard's debit card page, and they say that it offers zero liability. How much better are credit cards?

I heard some "horror" experienced by online consumers who used debit cards. One common problem for using debit cards is their inability to file a chargeback in case of a fraud transaction.

I have a debit card and most of the time I used it for online purchased.
I feel more secure because I only can spend whatever money inside the account. I even use it for my paypal account.

It really depends on the site you're using the card on. It can be safe but then it can be dangerous.
Do some research on the company you're thinking of doing business with to see if they've had complaints in the past.

Don't use debit cards with unreliable sites. Always stick with transfer systems like paypal, egold or moneybrookers as they are safe and you have a chance of getting a refund if you get cheated.

It is always better to use credit card than debit card for all the online transactions as it is much safer and can claim a charge back quickly than debit cards. There are some double protection offered by mastercard and visa, just inquire about it.

I think it safe to use debit card online because there are protection or security needs before we use in the internet. If we want make any transaction, they always ask us with our security pasword.

Yes, I would never buy anything with a debit card online. You should only use a credit card. Also get your own account so your parents don't know what porno membership you just bought.
