Default what is Negative Balance

hey .. I came across some posts where people were talking about Negative Balance in there paypal accounts so I am just wondering what all they meant when they said " negative balance " .

Hi. This is exactly what it means just like a bank account <if you have over draft> and a credit card.... they spent more money then they have in there account. Or they got a charge back from someone and couldn't fight it.

I think it simply means that you owe paypal some money. Right? I think the post above tells us some instances that can cause you to have a negative balance.

well first time i heard of it, never had below 0 lol, well the first day i opened my paypal account, i put $10 in it from my bank account

It simplies means that you arewithdrawing more than what is lying in your account through credits cards ior making payments. However i dont think you can really make payments more than your actual balance.

I think so too, PayPal is not a credit card company where you can just pay up your balance at the end of the month. lol! I think what happened to the original poster's account was just a glich in their system.

I've had a negative balance in the past due to someone wanting a refund. I issued a refund, but my balance did nto cover the full amount so I showed as owing PayPal 1.54. I just let it be and my next order covered it and my balance was positive again.

It means they overcharged thier accounts and they do not have a source of backup funds! That's all!
