Virtual Credit Cards

I have seen people using VCCs to verify there account . Are these VCCs legitimate to use them in paypal , or they are just another kind of scamm.

i think vcc are not legitimate !!! as many people are selling these on net for just 4$ just to remove the limit's

I always get a mixed response whenever this issue is raised, some say its perfectly legal while other say it illegal. Not sure who should I believe.

Same with me. I also using VCC to verified my paypal. Just i wonder about something. How long our VCC will last long? its have expired day? Or we need to verify again next time?

Credit card companies also offer Virtual Credit Cards. As far as I know If you acquire one, you must already be a credit card holder. Your VCC acts like a prepaid card with an expiration date and with a limited credit limit. This is definitely a legitimate virtual credit card. There is another VCC which you can acquire thru a thirdy party provider which does not require any credit card from you. I am not sure though if this is legitimate.

VCC only verify accounts out of us. If you use vcc for us paypal, it will only raise your limits of sending and recieving money.

vcc are being used a lot but finally you will have to use your cc someday or another...

I too have vcc with are purposely for online transaction given by my credit card company and it combine with my real credit card. But i don't know if vcc sell on the net right same with my vcc. I too use this vcc to verify my paypal account.

It is really a confused topic till yet. I approached PayPal once with this question, but I didn't got satisfactory results. As we know VCC is made for shopping with security and verifying PayPal account means you are adding your CC as in other shopping sites.

One more thing, I have found a page somehow on PayPal, they are working on Virtual Debit Cards for PayPal accounts
