Is there any particular reason why i cannot transfer my pay pal funds into an online poker site ?

It was made illegal just last year or 2005 I think. I used to play online Poker but not anymore. Might as well spend it on eBay.

That is so stupid that they made online gambling illegal in USA it is jsut because the casino owners were seeing huge drops in their own profits it had nothing to do with morality issues

it was made illegal in november of 2006 i believe, congress or the president, i think it was congress that suggested a law to be made for this and make that illegal, and it was passed.

I agree with zinger on this, why would they make online gambling illegal and still allow the different casinos in the US to continue their business.

because the president makes good profile as well with taxes on these casinos. If people are doing it online then the president is not making the money then he cant go play golf or travel the world or get a $1,000 hair cut.. You can still play online poker.. im sure there are ways around it.

Paypal has localized its operation which means thats its service conforms with the existing laws of the country. If your country does not allow gambling, you can't use your Paypal account for gambling.
