Default Not in country

If I am going abroad, should I notify Paypal that I'm going to another country so the IP will be changed? Or there is no need to notify them? I am asking this because I might have to visit another country next month.

That is seldom an issue. If they see multiple ip addresses in a very short period of time coming from multiple addresses, they may flag your account but I've never seen it happen.

I wouldn't worry about it. I highly doudt PayPal checks on IP addresses in your account.

Unless your doing a lot of transactions with a lot of money, I wouldn't worry about it.

My brother who study in England has PP account and when he was on vacations to India, he accessed his Paypal account and next day it was temporarily suspended. He had to email them some scanned documents (for identity confirmation) to get it working again.

It is better to contact tehm and let know first because if you have a lot of money in it you should not take the risk.

I agree. You should notify Paypal if you will be accessing your account from a different country IP address. A change in country address may indicate possible fraud case that's why Paypal has to suspend your account. It is a security measure.

Paypal will block your account if they see an IP from non-supported country, so its better to notify them before leaving or it will become a pain if it gets block and you're in different country.

even my friend had to face this..like he lives in California but came here middle east for vacation and accessed his paypal account..since he usually accesses it from america..when ever he logged in it would ask him his CC or checking account number in order to verify that he was himself...

but this is rarely an issue..

I guess if you want to be extra careful but it's really not needed. All they'll do is flag your account and ask for verification. You should be able to provide that so there's no problem.
