Have you ever been scammed by someone through PayPal? Were you lied to about their verification?

PayPal offers a free service to check if someone is verified or not.

All you have to do is click the following link and login to your account:

https://www.paypal.com/us/verified/pal=email

(change "email" to the actual email of the person who's status you're checking)

Never know we can check first the buyer/seller paypal verified or unverified. So this will give use more precaution when do some transaction online with unknown people.

when you try to send money to a person then before you confirm your payment, you get something like US/non-US verified/non-verified member (XX) XX denotes number of transactions that account holder has done with verified members. Hope I make sense to you.

Never really had a problem with dealing with someone not verified.

But I am going to definitely bookmark that for the next time I sell.

Im going also to bookmark it too! that is a great tool againt scammers, i have been scammed once but i always ask for some verification, this indeed is what i need, thanks for share!

Thanks for the link you have posted in the main thread.
I will bookmark it, it will be very helpful for detecting scammers using paypal, unfortunately there are some verified account scammers too.

Verified members can be scammers, too but this still helps. Also, this particular link is only to check the status of U.S. accounts.
