Default $1,000 fee?

If someone gives me a thousand dollars via PayPal, how much will PayPal take from it?

Just need a rough estimate.

I believe they take 20p (40 cents) + 3.4%. So that would be $34-35

Good point, I misread that - you'll receive the full £$1000 - the sender will cop the fees.

I dont think it is a big fee when considering the job they have been making. They have the largest payment processing options for the people and most of the merchants use paypal for their products.Without them how can you sell your product and get your money instantly?

The person receiving the money gets the fees and the sender doesn't. Trust me, I've been at this a long time, just never got a bulk buy like that at once.

Jerlene, you're exactly correct.

Some sellers on eBay won't have anything to do with PayPal, 'cause the seller loses a good piece of their sale.

Thank you,
