Myspace is going the same way what we use to see in yahoo messenger chat rooms few times back... spammer & bots. Though YM has recovered from the bots and such recently, Myspace is diving in into it.

People supporting the affliate programs knowingly or unknowingly have promoted spamming . Since social networking sites helps one to promote their biz, people started spamming...

Oh well, it happens. You're going to get spam on all of these types of sites. It's unavoidable.
At least MySpace now has a warning for when you're leaving MySpace.com, that really helped.

I agree with you steve and that is why I have given up Myspace. Try facebook, it provide better service in this respect.

I don't care because I have given up Myspace way back. I am happy with Orkut & Facebook as those provides all the interesting thing I need.

I am either now fan of Facebook though I am an avid user of Myspace. Facebook is much more clean.

MySpace has become the target of spammer since the anticipation of email marketing. Myspace must not be blamed but the users.

I haven't noticed an increase in spam on Myspace for about 6 months now, actually I have noticed a decrease. Has anyone else noticed this?
