Default Myspace?

How many people here use myspace as a marketing tool! I do use it with very good results! As far as sending bulletins and messages! Even just putting links on the homepage!

I used to but I've been getting kind of irritated with MySpace lately because of all those crap comments.

I use it to marketing certain businesses but I just get flooded with spam comments, so I don't even bother.

I don't think myspace marketing is that effective unless you use it to communicate with your clients.

Supposedly you are not allowed to promote a business using myspace without buying ad space from them... A lot of people still do it anyway.

Just don't spam.

I think it is the same as marketing on your own website. Put up quality content and the legitimate Myspace users will find you. If you just randomly hit up people to add as friends chances are you will get a decent percentage interested if you have quality content and/or products.

i think what laettner said is quite true..overdoing marketing can end up in the result that your account is banned because of excessive spam links etc..

good layout and proper links at proper areas will boost your site traffic nodoubt...

People have been sued for spamming on myspace so it's very shaky territory. I think a good way to market on myspace is by leaving normal/good comments with your url at the end as like a signature.

They are being sued because they hack other people's pages and send spam links in bulletins, making people believe it is coming from a friend. There is nothing wrong with marketing on Myspace if done intelligently.

It was still spamming though. Still good to be careful about it as being banned would be almost as bad.
