Default How to tell real messages from scams.

I'm always getting messages from friends, but I also get them from from strangers that look like they want to sell me something. Are they all scams or could some of them be good deals? How can I tell the difference?

Spam may not be necessarily scam. If the offer is good better check feedbacks about the seller and pay via credit card so you can file a chargeback in case the transaction turns out into a scam.

I don't have friends that would tell me if something is a good deal and convince me in a spammy way that it is a good deal...

Some of us just don't need to trust even so called friends on the internet. especially those from phished accounts on myspace.

Friends aren't going to send you constant bulletins telling you to click here for deals on ring tones, dating, etc., and they certainly aren't going to put those messages in your comments. If you get those or profile tracker ads it is definitely spam.

Spam may not necessarily fraudulent but i think the term "SPAM" relates to any and all messages you receive from entities not on your contact list.

i think that you can notice fake people when you look for their friends. they they have got 1000s of friends and the photos dont seem to be real, it is a fake account.

get an email-account that you only use for real communication, never post it in forums, websites or anywhere else.

use it only for people you realy know and trust.
