Default Exchange rate done twice?

Hi, I uploaded funds to my MB account using my New Zealand bank account in US$, but my MB account is in NZ$. -Reason why I uploaded in US$ was [1] my bank account doesn't transfer internationally in NZ$ and [2] MB doesn't except NZ$.

My problem is that I think the money being transferred may have been converted twice, [1] my NZ bank from NZ$ to US$ and [2] MB from US$ to NZ$. -I also think that I lost some money because of this. -Can anyone confirm this?

Also, I check MB options, but it doesn't look like I can change the currency of my MB account. -Is there a way to change it, or is my MB account stuck with NZ$ for now?

***I'll checked my MB and bank record, but both have not recorded the exchange rate at the time of transfer. -My bank did not record the fee of the transfer as a sperate transaction as it was included with the amount being transferred.
