Default Bank Withdrawal question

If I have US$ as default currency in MoneyBookers and want to withdraw my money to bank account, do I need to have my bank account in US$ or will it work if I have account in local currency? Please post here if you have idea about this. Thanks!

I have account in local currency and I have no problems in withdrawing my MB money (which is in Euro). My bank automatically converts it into local currency whenever wire transfer is received from MB.

Asmi is correct, most banks accept any currency.

If you don't need the money, and the conversion rate from US$ to your local currency is bad, open a bank account in US$ and withdraw the money to that bank account, then when the conversion rate is better, move it to your local currency account

The money will automatically be converted by your bank. The only problem is that it will fluctuates with the exchange rate.

That is not necessary at all, whenever you transfer you funds to your account, currency is first converted into local currency of your bank or the country you live in. Its simple as that...and of course you have to pay them currency conversion fee.

It depends on your bank. MoneyBookers will send the money using the SWIFT information you provide. Now it is up to your bank if they allow you to receive money in foreign currency. Most of times it is not a problem because bank loves everything incoming.

My bank asked me to open a US$ account to receive any wire transfer payment in dollars so I guess it depends on each bank. Its better to ask them before opening an account.
