I think address verification system is better then cv2. i really dont know anything about cv2 as I have never used it but My friends who are using it having lot of problem.

It sounds like some of you are confusing AVS with Payer Authentication. Payer Authentication requires an extra step for the customer, AVS does not - they've already input their address.

If you don't use AVS you have no idea if you are sending to the real card holder.

If you don't use CVV you have no idea if you are sending to the real card holder.

If you're selling on-line, you'd better use both.

I always verified my credit cards with the CVV2 method, as it is more easy and secured as well. I'm never used my address to verify the cards and I'm also don't even want to do it either!
