Default paid to mail...

My friend's sister was pulled into an ad in the news paper that said "pay only $50 to get started" on licking envelopes and mailing them out for some company.. Of course she quickly sent out the money then she quickly realized they closed up shop shut down the phone line and probably left to do it some other place... No one is going to pay you $20/hour to sit at home and mail stuff out for a company.. considering they have to take the time and send you the stuff all the time so it doesnt even seem like it would be worth it for the company.

I see these ads all the time, and I could understand how gullible people can be. They really need the money so they will do anything for it.

I think the saying, no money is easy money comes into use here. They may actually send you the supplies have you mail them, but never actually pay you. They won't have you sign any contracts and then you can do nothing against them.

I fell for this scam once, many years ago. At the time I was working 50 hours a week and getting burned out. When people get that desperate, they want to believe the hype. I'm sorry your sister fell for it, just encourage her in her desire to want to work from home, and let her know that there are others out here that have been ripped by companies like this before as well.

That should serve as a lesson. It's good the amount involved is minimal. The other lesson is your employer is supposed to pay you and not the other way around. This scam is common online and continues to persist because nobody seems to be running after it.

The rule of thumb is anything that requires you to shell out money in exchange for a job online needs to be duly verified. Do not get enticed by high returns. You must always exercise due diligence.

I too see ads similar to this.. i think i read today itself something that said join googleCashline and you will earn $2000 or more sitting back at home.. they are surely scam. I read it thinking that it is related to google but it is not like that, i searched and did not find anything that said googlecashline services..

That ad is the oldest trick in the book. It's been around even before the Internet. Apparently folks are getting money off the scam or else it wouldn't continue.

I had been getting similar ads since long where they offer me 1000$ a month just to write short articles by simply copy and pasting them from other sites. Sounds really fake.
