Default How Often Do You Use The Purchase Protection?

I don't have a credit card any more. I don't miss it either really, except for the air miles, but I keep having friends say 'But how can you use a debit card, they don't have purchase protection'.

I've never needed to call on the insurance or purchase protection of a credit card, and I think the restrictions are tight enough the same would be true of most others.

Do you use the purchase protection much? If so, can you give some examples of when you've called on it, and got your money back?

I am planning to get my first credit card. I am quite hesitant because of the scams and frauds. What is this purchase protection? How can I enjoy this privilege?

Purchase protection works for purchases and you do not have to pay extra each month for it. I'm pretty sure that if you buy something from some one and then you have troubles with it, they will refund your money and take it up with the seller themselves.

I think that with the better credit card offers, it is just one of the conveniences to having their card. The extra money they want you to pay is for insurance to cover your bill if you can't go to work anymore.
