Thread: Selling on Amazon

I've been an Amazon buyer but have never really tried selling my stuff there. Last night I wanted to try it but I was deterred by the VAT Registration thingy. I think this is where eBay advances against Amazon. On eBay you only need one account for buying and selling.
Has anyone here been selling on Amazon? How do I get a VAT registration number?

Isn't VAT a European thing? I swear that over here it is called General Sales Tax so we wouldn't have a VAT number. You could try ringing them and asking?
