Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Reporting frauds depend on your location and the site's original location. If it is locally on your country, report it to the government. Or report it to television programs that expose fraudulent transactions. We have an expose program here in our country; it has already helped a lot of people. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | You can contact the following authorities if you are a victim of internet fraud: 1. Internet Fraud Coordinator: ifcc.tp@fbi.gov 2. International Web Police: Director@Web-Police.org 3. ISP Provider (Refer to Step One. Look for the email contact for website abuse of the ISP Provider or the organization that the program’s IP Address belongs to and file a complaint). 4. Local authority (refer to the web registrant’s station address, search on the Internet to locate its country authority; such as the state police or any other relevant authorities) |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Media is one of the good methods to use in reporting scams and fraud. Media here in our place are always ready to help their viewers. They would contact an authority if planning for an entrapment operation. A lot of scammers were already in prison because of the expose programs by Media. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | The only problem with fraudulent people that conduct transactions online is that they don't usually post or let anyone know where their business address is. The best way I think is to spread the word on how they scammed you and report it to responsible individuals who can broadcast it and share your experience to forums as well. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | i believe some companies (mostly larger direct sellers) have their own fraud department. just a few weeks ago, i received a call from a merchant (company name withheld, it might be against the forum rules to mention any names of companies i've dealt with), and they informed me that my credit card was used to purchase a macbook. good thing, they haven't shipped out the item yet. they gave me advices on how to pursue the person for identity theft and even gave me a phone number for a cop who can help me. once their investigation is over, i plan to bring it to court. for most people, they just want the funds returned to their accounts and get new credit cards. but it shouldn't stop there, we have to show these people that they can't continue living off on scams. |
