If you have a high rank in Google, there will be more traffic in your website; you could have more potential clients than usual and it can definitely help out your business. It also shows that you are legitimate and authentic.

well if you have a high rank in google for certain keywords then yes, it has the potential to bring you a lot of traffic, but less searched keywords doesnt really matter, wont get much traffic.

well u can try it out if u really want ur site to get banned. why does one ve to do such things to be highlighted by google. if u ve something good to offer it ll automatically show instead of using false methods

This statement is not true at all. Submitting to google has nothing to do with Page Rank. It can be only increased by getting backlinks from other websites.

I agree with chandi - building sites with relevant content will have far longer staying power than these quick fixes.
