I didn't hear anything like this before, but I did hear many people complaining about e-gold website and accounts weren't secure enough and a few were hacked.
It's so bad what happened to you but if you ask me, there is no way to get it back.

Call the attention of egold immediately because it will block the account which withdrew your funds. It can be returned if your case is justifiable and if the funds are still there.
