Default E-gold Fraud

Hello,

As soon as I logged into my e-gold account like I do everyday to check my balance it's a normal process...but until today when I logged in I saw my balance was at its steady growing pace of $244 USD but after about 2 seconds the screen refreshed and pooooof I have ZERO everything....I immediately checked transactions to see where did it go...I mean it couldn't just dissappear, then I saw this person called Tornelle with Acct# 2883567 has all of my amount in gold....what should I do with this please help me...I already sent an email to e-gold.com...tried calling them but their number appear to be broken or something

Wow... I've never heard of it happening like that. I know accounts get hacked into all the time and stuff. Unfortunately there isn't anything you can do. You can just send E-gold an email to have that account blocked but I doubt you will ever get it back. Sorry about that.

Wow I understand that you must be under a lot of stress right now but you kind of typed in at least three different font sizes.

Too bad it happened with you.

but unfortunately, you can't do anything now because E-Gold doesn't support chargebacks, neither they help you if your money is stolen, the maximum they will do is to block the scammer's account but after all that, you won't get the money. I suggest you to use IP security thing with E-Gold.

Really pathetic, I believe somebody hacked your account no. and passphrase, so got the full access to you account and thus misused it.

Did you reported this issue to E-gold support??

That's the danger of keeping funds in your processor's account. The best way is avoid leaving funds in your account especially for a payment processor like egold which does not have any charge back feature. All egold can do is block the funds where your funds are deposited . Fund recovery in most cases is remote.

I think it very pathetic as the hacker hacked your account in front of you and you were not able to do anything. I think there should be some security in the online accounts so that you can sleep peacefully during night.

Elevating your concern to e-gold is still a good move even if it does not have a charge back feature. Identifying the scammer and its IP address would help later to track down similar cases with the intercession of concerned authorities.
