I think there is no particular cyber law internationally. Cyber law depends on your country. Each country has different law on this.

The only thing we can rely for frauds online is the review extended by sites like BBB.

It depends on the country if they have cyber laws. I think it is about time though, to be more vigilant against fraudulent online people and scammers. More and more people are falling victims to their scams and harsher punishments should be implemented to maybe lessen them.

i've heard a story that happened in the philippines some months back. there was this call center agent who used the credit card information of their client to purchase items online. some fbi agents went over there and picked him up. i don't know if this is exactly true, but since i heard that story, it made me more convinced that the government is actually doing something to protect us from fraud.

That just goes to show that you are more likely to be ripped off by your waiter at your favorite restaurant than you are by giving out your credit card information on a secure https connection

These days in United states, people from the government are monitoring the chat rooms to look out for terrorism. words like "bomb", fire, kill etc are reported...dunno if its true or not

There are some standard International laws which are common to all the countries with cyber presence. But the local policing authorities are sometimes to lax to take any action on the cyber frauds commited by people in such countries.

It depends on the country. For example third world countries (Like Nigeria) there is no cyber crime law therefore the rate of cyber crimes there is high but it is opposite in USA.

I think someone like the United Nations should delagate the internet laws.

Laws are country specific and delegation of them by UN might not work.
