Default Fraud Protection

Since fraud is the hottest dirty secret right now, merchant accounts should have a fraud protection technique to protect both parties. I have found useful technique that merchants can adopt.

If the merchant’s web server is connected, credit numbers should not be entered. Enter only if disconnected and if directly connected to the payment gateway. This lessens the chances of credit numbers being lost by the merchant. Thus, reducing the risk of merchant's liability to customers and at the same time providing security to customers.

That is a good way to lessen the defrauding of clients. I just hope more merchants can put it into practice and even find more means to totally get rid of scams and fraudulent activities out there.

One better way is for the merchant to use a Secured Socket Layer (SSL). This can secure the data and information transferred online. It is also a statement that the merchant cares for the security of consumers data and information.

yes it is . The secure socket layer is used to protect credit card data from computer hackers or anyone else trawling for personal information. The SSL uses a 128-bit encryption method to safely and securely move credit card information from one location to the next.

I have noticed that if you someone has built an application in ASP.NET with Sqlserver then database is not being connected all the time so there is ultimate security of protecting database . I think all e-commerce application should be built in this technology .

SSL is a great way to protect the buyer but still if people want to do fraud they just setup all these things and can do farud in anyway . There is to be a whole system to protect from fraud. We should not only depend in machines to protect our money
