Default Buy Traffic?

Do you buy traffic for your websites? Not PPC advertising, but I've seen how some websites offer traffic, ex. 1000 uniques a day for $5 -- stuff like that, anyone did that?

I 'won' some traffic once, so decided to try it out, since it was free. I didn't get anything from it though - I don't even think I got the number of impressions I was promised.

Most schemes selling traffic use autosurfs - nice for driving up your impressions, but its unlikely a real human will see your site.

Don't Buy Traffic!! These traffic are useless, those "visitors" don't even see your website before they leave.
If you buy traffic (those $xx for 10,000 targeted visitors offer), all you will get is only skyrocketed extra data trasfer fees...
think twice.

Run as far away from such sites as humanly possibly. No quality traffic or even backlinks processed from visitors.

Never buy such packages. They are just running pay to surf sites and give you lots of useless hits.

If you want to waste your money, you can

I hate repeating myself on every forums:
These traffics are not targeted to your sites and therefore will not bring any clicks or sales.
Try to seo your site instead.

I once purchased some traffic, and a ton of it too. I purchased 100,000 for a new site i was launching, i wanted to get the alexa rank down and it sure worked for me.

If you purchased such traffic, sure, you would get visitors, but they are simply visiting the site because you paid them, not because they went there on their own accord (voluntarily).

It's better to get traffic to your site via search engines (where visitors are more interested in the site's content rather than merely visiting the site), rather than have "forced" visitors.
