Here are some wayz i think blogs can b marketed for free

Link it up in ur posts in forums (like i did above n here)
Digg it
Have good Link Exchange wid ppl wid gud visitors
Join various forums and add ur blog..
Put labels for each post so that it comes in searches and ur indexed pages get increased!!

I think getting enough good relevant comments into well-trafficked blogs could bring some good visitor traffic.

Do some link exchanges and submit to directories are few best methods. Also, submit your site to search engines as well!

I prefer one way links, back links are some time harmful.

What about article with your link, posting comments on blogs with your link !!

Yeah you can post articles with links in the blogs, but some blogs that i ve come across consider putting a link in your content as spamming.
Need to watch that out too.

It does not matter how many pages one puts on a website, there is no great advantage unless they are visited. There are the search engines of Google, and of Yahoo, but can anyone suggest other means of getting a website advertised with some success?

Sign up for a lot of directories is a good way to get some traffic.
It does mean an awfull lot of work though.....

You should try to submity your site to a lot of directories and also try to get some links from blogrolls of friends.
Use forum signature a lot.
