For me the best email service is provided by yahoo. I have been using them since a long time and have rarely used any other email service. They are the rulers in terms of email industry.

I prefer Gmail over Yahoo mail, the reason is that there is more protection for spam in Gmail than Yahoo.

if you would based it on experience i think google gmail is better than a yahoo mail? but the new yahoo interface also works like charm but i still prefer gmail.

I prefer Google! They have the best technologies of the world. Specifically i uses their Google Apps (Google Apps) in which they provide email service free for your domain. So you can get professional email for free, I have my email id vijay [at] vijayamritraj.com at google apps, and i am very happy with that. No other can provide the same.

I think they are both as good as each other, Yahoo! seem to be improving a lot lately as well, but they are working on the gossip side of their website, not the search engine, but I still get good hits with Yahoo! and G.

Yahoo is more famous than gmail. Both are good, yahoo has some nice features,it looks more web 2.0 . Is faster. Gmail's spam filter is good. I have both accounts. But i use Outlook
