Gmail check for viruses.

Hi,
Does Gmail check for viruses and scan them.I don't know whether Gmail scan for viruses.I have been using Google's gmail service.

I like to ask the forum members a question.If anyone mails me and that particular thing has a virus.Will Gmail check it and scan it?Also if it does Can I know how will it do it?

Please send me your suggestions.

They don't scan for viruses but you can flag them and block those senders.
