Default Will Google Checkout beat PayPal?

Is Google strong enough to beat Ebay? Do you think Google Checkout will replace PayPal in the future? Please share here your opinions.

I do not think it will be easy for Google to beat Paypal with checkout. They will need to come out with some new ideas such as joining adsense with checkout.

Paypal were the very first in this market and have created their monopoly which is kind of hard to destroy. May be google will beat them someday because they also have a strong business background.

I do not think it will be easy for Google for the job... I agree the competetion would be tough but still Paypal is far ahead in the race.

It won't be easy, but I don't know, they maybe will get very strong to compete with PayPal in the future. Google just want to be number one on everything, don't you think?

I have a Google Checkout account but I have yet to use it for online transaction. It is quite different from Paypal since my account can't accept funds. Anyone here with experience in accepting Google Checkout funds? I don't think it is possible.

Google is strong enough to beat eBay but Google Checkout isn't strong enough to beat PayPal.
