I know that google checkout is not allowed on ebay but on several ebay forums, people are indicating they don't want to lose sales so what they do is send an invoice after the sale to say the person can pay with google checkout.

I don't have google checkout myself. Not sure where I would use it but I read alot on the ebay forums.

Paypal is owned by ebay and if they allow competition in ebay payment then its only them whos profits are going to suffer. So they play safe and dont allow any of the OTHER payment options to be available.

i dunno about google checkout... tho lots of websites give bonus like if you spend over 30 quids.. you can save 10 quids...i didn't saw too many stores doing that with paypal :| so maybe and only maybe... google checkout will be better than paypal.. who knows xD but for now.. im sticking with paypal.

Paypal gives maximum profit to Ebay and if they allow checkout then they`ll be on the loosing side with lesser profits.
