I have never used google checkout, is it painless? If it reflects their search site, it should be really smooth!

More Conversions: streamlined checkout leads to increased conversions.

Lower Costs: free processing in 2007; if you pay for Ad Words your rates in 2008 go against how much you pay for Ad Words. For example: If you pay $5,000 a month for Ad Words and your processing fees for Google in 2008 are $3500 a month you only end up paying $1500 for Ad Words a month

It's a no brainer for anyone who sells online.

They also will work with any merchant regardless of their size.

Google Checkout has not been aggressive as I earlier expected. Still very few merchants use this payment processor. I suspect it has something to do with its rumored payment processor GBuy? designed to compete with Paypal.

I imagine that they will also integrate it with Google Earth, so a business listing would have a Google Checkout logo.

Nice little write up there, it's a good one! I like how the lower costs of payment processing are good! That is the first thing that I look at when getting an account somewhere, how much is this going to cost ME?

no their arent any fees in 2007... fees start in 2008 and they'll probably be about the same as paypal

You can process all your Checkout sales for free until 2008, and there are no monthly, setup or gateway fees – Checkout is entirely free
