I got a warning letter for clicking on my own links a few months ago (silly me)...didn't get banned or anything like that...just a warning letter...
anyone know if they watch accounts that have gotten these warnings anymore than other accounts?...or do they just check for warnings if they have to send you another one?
(not that i'm planning on doing it again...just curious)
lmao Right.
They watch each account equally...or do they? Meh. They record everyones IPs, etc. so there's no getting around it. If you do it again or they suspect someone's doing it on your site they'll just ban you seeing as you've already been warned.
You have to realize that if the owner or operator of a PPc can't control click fraud they will eventually do something to combat it. Especially if they are doing more paying out than they are taking funds in.
Just be careful and you won't have problems. Never access your account from public computers because it is possible that when you leave the PC, someone else opens up your website and click your ads. Google will think this as invalid click.
True using a public pc is so obvious to "G". Don't you think they can see really where the majority of a site's traffic is coming from? All of a sudden there is a ton of clicks from the public library IP address...and here comes your email from Google.
Monitor your Adsense clicks regularly and be pro active in reporting to Google if you notice possible fraud cases. You can avoid possible account suspension if you are pro active in reporting your case.
I think that once you get a warning letter from Google for click fraud that you will always have to be careful as I am sure that you have been placed on some special list.
is good to have a warning email rather than a straight ban... i got a warning letter before and i did not know i break the rule...was lucky enough that i was not ban
Knowing Google I'm sure they must have some sort of algorithm for determining if the number of invalid clicks on your account is within, or exceeds, set parameters.
