In what time should a website be created in?

Assuming I have a client for whom I have to make a website for...in what amount of time should I finish the website so I won't lose my clients?

I think that relies on how soon the buyer gives you as a target date for completion. whatever you do make sure the site is "buyer"-friendly.

Never compromise on your commitments. If you have promised to finish the work by a date, finish it atleast a day before. The time required for completing a website depends on the many factors.
* The requirements of the client
* The security requirements (as security requirements increases, the time for beta testing increases)
* The urgency of the client
* And .....

assuming no security stuff no more then a month. I had at wait 2 months for my site and it looked like it only took 10 days to complete wasn't worth the long wait that I had... but 1 month or less is usually great.

This is something you should ask your client.
A quality website takes a lot of time, maybe a week, could be way more though.
