About six months ago there was a thread here entitled "What made you smile today?" and it was probably the happiest thread I've read on the forums yet. I think it'd be fun to have it back again.
The whole point is to just write down whatever made you smile today, things like: getting a date with that person you've had a crush on all year, finally get that new BMW, finding $5, or just smiling because it's sunny outside.
What made you smile today?
For me, it was getting a second job interview at Barnes & Noble, because I really want that job and my chances are looking good. I also had another job interview yesterday, which made me happy, because I really need a job (I've been without a real job for almost two years now - I was a tutor at my university, but that's not quite the same).

I smiled today because I saw my nephew's picture on my phone. I made it my wallpaper so I can see him whenever I want to.

The puppy that we got our son for Christmas seems to love my feet. Constantly this evening he has one -- or both of a pair -- of my shoes and having a blast trying to get in them. Take one away, five minutes later he has another one.
