which laptop

I intend to purchase a laptop. But i am confused about which company to buy from Acer , Lenovo, Sony, Dell or Hp. Which one should i go for?

Dell has the best laptops. Anything but Compaq.

I agree that Compaq offers the best but if think about controling the budget then Acer is a good choice as it offers a mixture of Value For Money and Performance and decent features as well

Hi,
I think the best laptop for entire process is Lenova or Acer.
But Dell and HP monitors resolution is very good than others.

Why you forgot about IBM,My friend having IBM laptop and it is working very good from more than 5 years.So I suggest you to go with IBM.......

Actually Compaq doesn't offer the best. They have decent prices but as far as life, it isn't that good.

zt products are good ones, apples are nice, so are hp. like the big screens.

the new HP's are awesome. But its hard to say whats the best. Thats like saying ford is better than dodge. Maybe they are overall but a viper is better than a focus... its hard to compare 2 brands that have such a wider verity. What is your budget? did u have 3-4 different ones in mind? Also, dells aren't necessarily the best. There cheap for a reason. there made with cheaper parts. but that doesn't mean there not as good as others.

I like Toshiba and Fujisu of the laptop or notebooks.
But 90% of my friends will buy the brand Toshiba stuffs here.
Dell is not expensive but no stocks if you are unlucky at some periods

Wal-Mart has a sale on Dell's right now. Dell is pretty good.
