Default Does anyone here hate ebay as much as me?

Just wondering if anyone else out there gets as fed up as I do with the dictatorship those guys run on that site. I posted something the other day that someone couldn't pay for, and ebay still made me pay the fees. Their fees are outrageous too. I don't think I am going to buy or sell anything on there ever again. I did find some other sites to go with instead, but the one that looks really interesting hasn't launched yet. Until then I'll just be pissed off.

I haven't really seen any dictatorship going on. Everything is pretty easy going an user operated.

I guess I'm just tired of the fees that they associate with everything. They get pretty hefty on more expensive items. It's okay though, I just choose not to use it lately. I found a new site that is launching this month that is only a dollar to list anything so I am going to give that a try.

How bad are the fees? As bad as PayPal?

I used eBay a while ago and I don't remember the fees. Well, there was the 2 cent listing fee.

Yeah, I guess in a sense what I am talking about is Paypal because that is typically what you use when using ebay. If I was listing a t-shirt, the fees are not that bad because it is not an expensive item, but I recently was trying to sell a car on the site, and the amount that paypal takes is outrageous, whereas this new site I was mentioning is only $1 to list anything and it is a flat fee. This is a good thing when you are selling something such as a car, house, or an electronic item such as a tv. It launches in a week or two but the site is up if you would like to check it out. I believe it is Anything For Sale By Owner

P.S. Thanks for listening to me vent my frustrations!

I have ever only had one incident quite recently and it made me resign my membership.

I purchase goods with my credit card and then I found someone else who was selling the goods much cheaper, I contacted the seller and I explained that I had found the goods much cheaper elsewhere and that I wanted to cancel my order.

I received an email from the seller saying "No, I could not cancel them". I stopped payment from being taken from my credit card and the seller posted a large amount of obscenities across the site, he warned other sellers not to sell to me that I was a fraud !

I did contact him again to try and explain but he had a strike put against me from ebay and I received a warning from them.

It should not be compulsory to buy, if a person changes their mind they should be able to, we can if we are in a store.

I have always had a good relationship with ebay except for this one time.

Sure, I would agree with that. Of course people are going to want to get something as cheap as possible. It kind of sucks when the seller has all of that power though. I've bought items that were significantly not as described, and not worth the price, but I didn't leave negative feedback for the seller because I knew he would just do the same thing to me, even though I did nothing wrong.

Yes I do agree with you that people want things cheaper and it is not good leaving negative feedback, in my case I contacted the seller by his email address and he posted awful things about me on the comments part. I did write that he was not being very mature about the whole thing because I could just not leave it with no reply that's is when the emails started being sent to me and I can tell you they were horrendous.

I love eBay for it's diverse items and the fact that you need to bid for prices.

I don't hate it but that's probably because I don't use it.
