Which is the best State in the United States

As an Australian yet to visit or live in the U.S.A. I want to start a debate/fight - to all American's please tell my which is the best state in the USA and why?

I'll start it off with OHIO the heart of it all.

No worries about hurricanes or tsunamis.

As the old saying goes..if you don't like the weather today, stick around because it will be different tomorrow.

I've been living in backwards Florida for the past 4 years and have accustomed to it. Of course it's not as great as NJ but I do love the "no state income tax" law.
